Chris Fiala

Chris has been a skipper for KIC since its founding.  Intuition, persistence and excitement sums up his fishing style.  He has a keen perception of the marine environment and its biology.  Fishing with Chris is fun and productive; his love for the sport is contagious!

Carey Owens

Carey is a natural born fisherman, hunter, and overall outdoorsman, with extensive commercial and charter fishing experiences. He is a gifted storyteller and a popular celebrity in Kodiak's outdoor repertoire.

David Reyes

David is a native Seattleite but has called Kodiak home for fifteen years. He moved here because of his passion for fishing and been part of the KIC crew ever since. He is an expert on the ins and outs of the Kodiak waters and our services.

Jonathan Von Euw

Jonathan is the newest addition to our captain’s crew but is by no means a stranger to fishing in Kodiak. He has dedicated almost a decade of his summers to fishing on our waters, and is devoted to providing a world-class experience for his clients.

Kodiak Island Charters _ Fishing Boat _ U Rascal

U-Rascal

The 43-foot U-Rascal was built in Seattle by Delta Marine for the salmon charter industry. It features a walk-around deck with a spacious cabin and a full bathroom. It weighs 18 tons and features twin John Deere turbo diesels for a cruising speed of 18 knots. The boat is USCG-inspected for 13 passengers and 2 crew. On fishing trips we limit the number of clients from 8-9 people.

Private Charter Rate: starts at $3,600 + tax

Moon Shadow

The 35-foot Moon Shadow is a tough Canadian gillnetter modified for charter fishing. It features a large cabin with a full bath and a beamy cockpit with lots of rail for sport fishing. It has a new John Deere turbo diesel and cruises at 18 knots. It is limited to six fishing clients. 

Private Charter Rate: $2,700 + tax

Harvest Moon

The 34-foot, 12.5 feet wide, fiberglass Harvest Moon is a fast and rugged offshore walk-around sport fishing boat. It was built in North Carolina for discerning anglers. It has a sizable cabin and a full bath, and can take up to five clients. It features twin Yanmar turbo diesels and cruises at 24 knots.
